A city writers’ workshop was conducted on April 16, 2024, at the International School of Asia and the Pacific-Kalinga (ISAP-K) multi-purpose hall.

With the theme, New Trends and Innovations in Campus Journalism: Developing 21st-Century Student Writers. The campus journalists from St. Theresita’s Schools (STS-Tabuk) and ISAP-K graced the annual press conference. Mr. Shamgar Louie Candelario, LPT, MST, served as a speaker during the morning session, where he shared a tactful talk on the relevance of campus journalism in addressing local and national issues. Moreover, Ms. Deceree Castro, LPT, MAEd, served as the resource speaker on the topic of how the power of campus journalism strengthens the now-normal during the afternoon session. Participants eagerly listened while the notable speakers imparted valuable knowledge and insightful topics.

Additionally, to help writers hone their writing skills and adapt to the changing landscape of journalism, the workshop included article write-ups on feature, column/opinion, cartooning, photography, and captioning. By fostering creativity and critical thinking, the workshop aimed to empower the next generation of student writers to make a meaningful impact in journalism.
